Hello from SE Washington!

I have been lurking on this site for about two months now. Finally decided on a new bicycle today after reading so many informative posts here.

I moved to the tri-cities last autumn and the my explorations convinced me that a bicycle is a must. There are miles of paths to ride and enjoy. I can't wait to get started.

It has been a long time since I've spent any significant time on a bike. I rode everywhere when I was a kid. I stopped riding a bike when I was 18 and getting to school on a bike became a hassle. I got a car and the bike became history. That was nearly three decades ago. Ouch. Time flies.

For the most part, I've been reading the posts in the 50+ and Clydes/Athenas forums. I don't exactly fit the descriptions for either subforum but the spirit in both of them suit me. I have some physical issues that are very suited for the over 50 crowd and I don't think my goals are much different than those in the taller/heavier forum.

So, I brought home a nice comfort bike today (My boyfriend got one, too!). We rode for about an hour before dinner at a park that was loaded with folks walking, riding, fishing and playing lacrosse I hope that the two of us are able to enjoy many, many hours together enjoying the gorgeous paths and weather this area offers.

Welcome Dee! I am a former resident of the Tri-Cities (moved away in 1988). Grew up on Washington state and lived all over the state. I very much liked the Tri-Cities.
