Greetings from a helmet fan in Colorado!
Just want to say hello to everyone out there. I've got the dubious distinction of being a newbie on this with a caveat. I decided to get more serious about riding after sucking on the bike portion of a couple sprint triathlons while riding a hybrid commuter bike (I don't recommend it to even my worst enemies, talk about an ego destruction). I bought my first all carbon road bike and 1 week later got clipped by an auto and bye bye bike, hello staples in the head, stitches in the face, road rash on half my body, compound collarbone fracture, separated shoulder, broken ribs, surgery for a new collarbone and reconstructed shoulder, and future date with a plastic surgeon. Hope that I get back on a bicycle soon and don't end up as a wuss who won't ever ride again (although I kind of feel that as I try to recover). Hope to keep on the forum to motivate me to ride again - fingers are crossed!:-)

Wow! That's quite the story. Glad the helmet helped.
