Back into biking
Hello from Northern Virginia.
I started biking again a month and a half ago after a 45 year hiatus (I'm 61, soon to be 62). I bought a Trek 7100 and have used it almost every day, about 7.75 miles per outing. I love every minute of it. I'm limited in the type of activities I can engage in due to my 2 artificial hips but biking is perfectly OK.
Eventually I'd like to increase my mileage to 20 miles per day but the problem is that Northern Virginia has lots of traffic and lots of hills. Fortunately I'm retired so I can schedule my rides during low-traffic times.

Welcome back to the sport of cycling!!! I also took a hiatus from cycling for many years. I re-entered the sport about 6 years ago and never looked back!!!!

Welcome to the forums! Get a good tail light, might offer a little visibility if traffic is near.
