Hello bikeforums!

My name is Matthew. I am a petroleum engineering student at OU. I received a fixed gear bike from my girlfriend for Christmas a few years ago but I really did not ride it very much since I was more involved in golf and drifting. Well now that I am a full time student once again I had to postpone golfing and drifting because they are so expensive. I started cycling to stay fit and give me something to do in my spare time besides watch tv. Although cycling is not a cheap sport I find it to be much cheaper than my other hobbies.

Welcome to the forums! Although it can be expensive, it can be done cheaper than some think. I have tried many bikes, buying and then selling, I am down to 3, a roadie, mountain bike, and a hybrid. I ride my roadie most now but still climb on the others every now and again.
