Hello from Traverse City, Michigan
 

Hi,
Today I bought a bike and took my first ride in over 30 years.

I used to LIVE on my bike...I had a bright yellow Schwinn LeTour that I saved up for by babysitting. I rode my bike everywhere and anywhere...miles and miles a week.

Then I went to college.
Then I had kids.
Then I....

I just stopped biking.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I am biking to have fun, get in shape, lose weight...but, to just enjoy the way I used to...
I found a used Schwinn Crossfit on Craigslist...and brought it home. Purple, good condition...I need to lower the seat and have her tuned up but...I already rode a bit and loved it.

I feel old and out of shape...but live in a nice little town and Traverse is nearby...many miles of bike trails to explore!

Veganissima, that is a wonderful story. I'm glad you shared it with us. Those are great reasons to start biking again. I hope it treats you well.

The first step back is the hardest and you've done that so now just enjoy!
