Tandemers from New Zealand
 

Hi Out there in Bike land.
We have been reading this forum for a long time now and finaly decided to register and do some posts.
As you may have guessed we ride a tandem but we also enjoy other bikes as well. Sue has a City bike which has cyclocross tyres on for gentle off road. I have a MTB and a Relaxed road bike. Our favorite type of biking is touring on the tandem.
We farm in New Zealand at Reporoa half way between Rotorua & Taupo. One family of granchildren live on a neighbouing farm, so we get them out biking with us as well.

Hi Brian and Sue,
I'd be interested to hear what sort of tours you've done on your tandem. See my entry "Touring on a Folding Tandem" about a week ago for some of the questions I have! We haven't yet ridden in New Zealand, so I would be really interested to hear where you've been etc. The mention of grandchildren makes me think you are around our age.
