Hello from south louisiana
Hello all,
another newbie here, first off i don't have a bike yet, one of the reasons i'm on here.. My last bike was a 1979? schwinn LeTour, i loved that bike.. sweet leather seat..p ut a many a miles on it.. but as i started a family life it fell into disuse i really don't recall what happened to it but i sure miss it .
will take wife out for a ride this weekend on a couple of friends trek's don't know what model but will let her see what's it like to kinda ride.. her previous riding was on fat tire crusier.. think i would really like a road bike but going to go for a hybrid to have a good all purpose bike, that being said i am looking at $800.00/1300.00 range and would appericate any input everyone has to guide me in the right direction... thanks

Welcome to Bike Forums!
Check out the Hybrid bikes forum, there is a lot of discussion about different models of hybrids for different budgets. The most important thing is to find a bike that's the right size and fit for you.

I love my Hybrid that's a great choice if you are unsure what you will be doing. Later on you can just add another bike according to your needs! Heck, I did!

Welcome. And yes...ask away. Lot's of friendly people here who are eager to help....and spend your money!
I love your neck of the woods, too! My wife and I went down to Picayune, MS twice after Katrina helping rebuild. AMAZING people down there! And looks like some pretty nice riding, too!
