New Rider - Modesto, California
Taking this opportunity to introduce myself. I inherited a mid nineties Raleigh c50 and got bitten by the road bike bug. A couple of days ago, after some considerable research (being new to any kind of biking) I bought a used 2010 or 2011 Schwinn Paramount 5 for $620. It has a bike computer which shows that it had a whopping 47 miles on the odometer. It has 105 components including shifters, front and rear derailleurs and pedals. I haven't taken it for a long ride yet because the gearing needs to be tweaked and I am learning as I go, but it's fun and I'm up to the challenge. I have already obtained a wealth of information from this site and I will start making some posts if I run into any issues that aren't covered (unlikely
