Hey/Help
Hey, I am quite new to riding seriously. So, I am wondering in which part of the forum I should post to help me find a certain type of bike that fits what I want?

Welcome!
What type of riding are you interested in doing? There is a separate forum for mountain biking, road riding, cyclocross, BMX. I would select what type of riding I was planning to do and then post a question in that forum.
You can also run a search. See if others have posted similar questions.

I really don't know what I want lol. I am a complete noob to bicycles. I just started this Spring on and off riding on this paved bike trail near my house for exercise, and really want to be able to ride more and more.
I only have a crappy Target Schwinn "Mountain" bike. But, what I think I want is a kind of mountain bike that will work well in urban places. I want to go faster also.

Well, a hybrid bicycle sort of combines a road bike with a mountain bike. You might want to cruise that forum a bit. The general cycling forum, like mentioned above might be helpful.
Usually as you get more comfortable riding you get more of a feel for what you prefer riding. How upright up would like to sit, what type of handle bar position are more comfortable.
Some people have multiple bikes for different riding situations or environments!

Near the top of the page click on forum (top left next to what's new). Then scroll down, it is near the bottom, not sure why it is not alphabetical.
