Hello from St. Louis
I'm 57 finally for the first time in decent shape from walking and eating right I no longer have to use insuline or pills. Hurt my foot and decided it's time to get a bike. Didn't relize how far the sport has spread and am getting excited to start. Found a cheap department store bike for 50 bucks and relized that was a big mistake so have been resurching bikes and websites and stumbled upon this site. Am looking to draw from the knowedge of those that came before me
Thanks for reading

Hello DK,
Welcome to Bike Forums.
Bike riding is my diabetic medication.
It works well for some of us.
Look around, ask questions, have fun posting.

welcome and congrats. Bikesdirect.com has a bunch of great options for low(ish) cash if you want brand new. only problem is you need to assemble from the box. A little work nothing technical. your other cheap options are craigslist or ebay but be aware that any of these options do not include the local support of a good bike shop. your on your own so to speak. (well we're with ya).
