My new startup: Rallyin

Hi!

So, I'm a cofounder of a new startup called Rallyin (www.rallyin.com). And I'm a big biker in Atlanta, GA.

Rallyin is a place where people who are passionate about their lifestyles (From camping, to running to cycling) post and share the Products/Brands that make their lifestyles fantastic, fun, and functional.

Rallyin is also a social network, all about community, and is trying to shift the web think from a bargain basement to one about customer relationships and experience. It's about the interactions (and transactions) between Brands and Fans – and building community around that.

We'd love for you to watch our promo video (How To Rallyin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvcVmNgNV3Y&h=1), let us know your thoughts, and then share with your community/post a review/do a comparison on www.rallyin.com.

We’re in Beta and trying to build as much community as we can around passionate lifestyles. We'd love for you to help us grow by posting your video content on Rallyin (No matter what brand/lifestyle you decide on).

Awesome. Thanks for reading, and I hope that you have a great day!

Bests,
Jeffrey Wisard

Siu Blue Wind,

Great to hear from you. To answer your question, "Your site sells a lot of non-biking stuff" the answer is yes/no. =)

Rallyin is social network around passionate lifestyles. Any lifestyles is free to post a Review/Product/Demo, etc. Rallyin never posts a product/sales anything.

The whole goal of Rallyin is to socialize products/brands. When you (The user) posts, a Brand can start a conversation with you. And vice-versa. We want people to interact with Brands and Brands to interact with people.

Does this make sense?

Feel free to drop me an email if you have any other questions! =)

On your site I see product offers for a rain jacket, a portable toilet and a camping pad that have "closed" and the price is listed. Others are listed with "time remaining". That to me is selling products that have nothing to do with cycling.

Siu Blue Wind,

Portable toilet? That would be great... but I don't see that on our site. Maybe that's the Kylmit Camping Pad?

Again, Rallyin is a hub for passionate Lifestyles. From biking to running to, heck, even spelunking. Right now we're focusing in on Lifestyles that are very near and dear to us. For me, those Lifestyles are biking (volunteer and organize rides here in Atlanta, GA), camping, and climbing. Each of these Lifestyles has changed my life for the better, and I want to gather people around those.

Thus, what you see on our site are other Brands/Lifestyles that we care about. And we've gotten some of them to offer Reviews, Demos, and, yes, their Products.

Does this clarify? =)

Bests,
Jeffrey

Thanks for clarifying. But one thing: Are you selling these items?

Welcome to bike forums from WV. Would you be interested in paying for advertising on our site? Since you are a business owner I'm sure you understand that sites like this need advertisers and can't really afford to let people advertise their products / site for free.

We as in "Rallyin" are not selling these items, no. The Brands themselves are posting the Product Offer. Brands can post Products/Reviews/Demos/Ad/Comparisons/etc. all for free. And so can Users (Minus posting a Product). Rallyin is a medium to bring Brands and Users together around a Lifestyle.

Great questions, by the way. =)

LowCel,

And hello from Atlanta, GA!

Totally understand the need for advertisers. One of our big plans is to include Bikeforums.net in future work. So, yes, we will be helping soon. =)
