Greetings from Sacramento CA
Hi all!
Rec rider in my mid 40's. I enjoy the AR trail and the foothills in Placer Co. Looking forward to doing some century rides this spring summer. I've been riding a Litespeed Arenburg for the last 3 years. Very comfortable bike, but I have an itch for something in the compact carbon geometry to make the climbing a bit easier. |
El Dorado Hills here :)
Yeah, i enjoy the AR trail as well. Usually go from the Folsom outlets, to discovery park, then back. Bout 65 miles :) Pretty nice ride :) Well, welcome to the forums :) |
Grew up in Davis,Ca and just moved from Downtown Sacto to Spokane, WA @ end of Nov. AR Bike trail is GRRReat!!
If you ever make it up this way their are zillions of really cool & scenic trails. Centenial Trail, Hiawatha etc. etc. etc. etc. & loads of cycle enthuthiastists. I did know how to spell till I got on these forums. Really Welcome!!! Arenberg :-) |
 MOVED TO SAC FROM TAHOE FOR SCHOOL. HOPE I CAN GET BACK TO MORE EXCITING TERAIN SOON. BUT HEY I CAN RIDE MY BIKE ALL WINTER. :D
|
That's the thing about the Sacto Valley :D :D :D :D :D
|
Howdy, Arenberg. I'll look for a Litespeed out on the trail. Welcome to the forums.

Any good bike clubs in Sac? I am getting into riding again, and need to group up with some peopel that do weekly ride things :) thanks!
|
Check out the Sacramento Wheelmen. I don't belong, but I have a friend who's a member and I've gone on some of their rides. Good folks. Lots of rides, including the annual Sierra Century.

Welcome on board! I also have a Litespeed that doesn't go up hills as fast as I'd like. Unfortunately I know the blame lies with me (and my affinity for cookies) rather than with the bike! :)
