Howdy from Brownwood, TX
A big hello from central Texas! I'm a NEWBIE when it comes to riding, and I'm looking to take up road biking for health and fitness. I am overweight and trying to improve my health through proper nutrition and exercise, and cycling really appeals to me.
I haven't purchased a good bike yet - still on my department store cheapy. But, I'm shopping around, and might even go so far as to building my own from parts (Trek, Cannondale, etc).
I started a Facebook page for any from the area who wish to join up in local discussions at https://www.facebook.com/brownwoodcycling.
I welcome anyone local to talk shop or just to ride together.
