New here
Hey all, new here from Jersey/NYC/Metro Area. My name is Tim. I've been riding for about two years. Formerly when I was living in Philly I was riding for commute as well as exercise & everything in-between! Since I moved up here I kind of fell out of cycling. Recently I came across a mid-80s? Lotus road bike & have been attempting to get into riding but my attempt, unfortunately thus far has been lackluster. Motivation to ride during a northeastern winter when not necessary is hard. I want to become more educated in all things biking so I Googled & came across this forum, so, hey!

Of the suburban clubs, the Bicycle Touring Club of North Jersey is probably the biggest -- it has about 2,200 active members and nice monthly meetings with pretty good speakers. They're also a good bunch of folks. They do have guys that ride all year, although most of that contingent are guys who race regularly and have competed in the Gran Fondo, etc.
Good luck!
