Vintage and soon to be Commuter
Hello everyone. I have been lurking for awhile and soaking it all up. Lots of good information.
I have a 21in 69 Robin Hood that I ride around the city. I'm 6'1 with a 34 inch inseam, so I am looking to upgrade to a 23 in soon. Your good site has informed me that a 24in tourist with 28in tires would be a little too large for me.
What brought me to the boards is that I was thinking about getting a commuter bike soon. So I am off to the commuter section to make heads or tales of what some consider heavy or light, a good ride or junk, etc.
Hope that I can contribute soon.
Best,
Eric

Hey Eric,
Welcome to Bike Forums from Texas.
6 Ft with a 34 inch bicycle inseam.
Ride 60 cm and 58 cm bikes
700 X 28 tires can give you a nice comfortable ride with lower psi.

Thanks for the welcome... I would really like to ride a 28inch tire. But a 60cm and 28" tires might be a little too much for me. That puts the top bar at my inseam. I will keep it in mind. If I move to the burbs or the country where I can get a ride without battling traffic or making frequent stops I will invest in a Raleigh Tourist.
