South Jersey Boy is back in the saddle.
Its a long dull story filled with a broken hart, 5 years at the bottem of a bottle & a whooping 200lbs weight gain for a total of 400+lbs. But what matters now is, I'm over the broken hart & have the long task of fixing all the damage I did to my body. I bought a 2011 Hudson 7speed. Its all dolled up with a thud buster, Topeak Panniers, German fenders......oh yeah & a $200.00 heavy duty rear rim (apparently my arse is now made of dark matter & snaps spokes like dry spegttii LOL).
My best friend is a school teacher & during the summer of 2012 I had gotten a job working grave shift security & I would use his car to get to work. Then fall arrived....BACK TO SCHOOL! & I suddenly needed transportation to work. Like I said the story is long & boring, but I had injured my knee & lost my abilty to ride years ago back in 05'. Well so far as the winter winds to an end my knee is holding up pretty good. I'm down 43lbs & still have a hell of a way to go. My commute to work is about 4 miles each way. & as luck would have it, my job has showers to use! I've kicked the booze & still struggle with the food but its a work in progress. Thanks its cool to be here!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I just stepped of the cargo scale at the job. DOWN ANOTHER 8LBS!!!!!!! That's a total of 51lbs. I feel better & better each day I get back into the swing of things.
