I am new to this forum, but not new to cycling. I live in northern Wisconsin, so my riding gets cut back considerably for 5 months of the year.
I ride a Schwinn Paramount for weekend rides, A Schwinn Moab for mountain biking with my son, and a Surly Long Haul Trucker for commuting and extended touring. i also use a spinner in the basement during winter to keep in shape.
I have completed a couple week long tours but would like to ride to Washington state some day. (on my bucket list) (The biggest obstacle is my wife who thinks I will be killed by some car or truck).
I have been riding and repairing bicycles from about 3 years old. I am now 54. My father owned a bicycle shop while I was growing up. I do not profess to being exceptionally knowledgable in bike repair, but I can hold my own and I havent bought any bicycle without building it from the frame up.
I hope I can contribute to this forum and help others enjoy bicycling as I do.
