Hey there! Marge from Seattle, hoping to do the STP in July 2005 (Seattle to Portland) for the first time,
arthritic knees, and all! I'm 48 and grateful to live in Seattle for the past 27 years instead of my beloved New Jersey, land of my childhood, which is too dang cold!!!! stumbled on your wonderful posts
by happenstance. lots of great information. One of the nicest things about living in Seattle, you can ride your bike in winter which I really appreciate. Now if I could only convince my neighbors the weeds in
my yard are "natural landscaping" (ha ha)

Hi Marge. Thanks for the reply. I printed something off of rei.com to help measure myself for a bike size - haven't done it yet. Is there a bike shop in Seattle that does that and really listens/takes time to hear my needs? I long to feel in heaven myself when riding on a comfortable bike. For me right now, that means easy to shift, few breakdowns, no neckaches and buttaches. thanks, suzanne
