Brit in LA

hello all

I'm a Brit now in LA, previously a commuter cyclist in London, somehow managed to land here last year and within a month had signed up for AIDS/LifeCycle (545miles in 7 days from SanFran to LA)...which takes place in 5weeks! eeeeeek....

lots of advice needed in these final few weeks so will browse the forums but now I've gone out and spent all my savings on a new (and beautiful) road bike I fully intend to keep it up after ALC. My old lady hyrbid is still in service trekking the toddler around on the back of her though!

Nice to have found you

Cheers mate and welcome to So. Cal. BTW, that bright, shiny, warm thing is called sunshine--being from London you may not be familiar with it.

Hi Mymatemarmite, whew that is a mouthful, glad you joined us here at BF. The AIDS Lifecycle is quite an admirable challenge, best of luck in completing it. We have a couple of forums you might find helpful here, the Long distance Cycling and the Road Cycling Forums will help you in setting things up and your last preparations. Hope all goes well and you enjoy the rides.

Bill
