Hi from Long Island, NY
Hello all!
I have a 20 year old, suspensionless Diamondback that weighs more than Heaven and Earth combined. I purchased it new and rode it regularly and aggressively on single track dirt for five years. Then, I went to graduate school and it sat in my parents' shed for 10 years. Five years ago, I pulled it out of storage and started riding again - mostly to and from the supermarket. I recently moved to a location that's near some of Long Island's best paved off-road bikepaths. I hope to kick-start myself back into shape on this heavy metal beast and perhaps upgrade to a lighter road bike at some point.

Hello Qtoffer, welcome to BF, glad you joined us here. The Old Bike is still serving its purpose if it got you back in cycling, some street tyres and a tune up to make sure the brakes and cables are in good condition/safe will help you out. surf the various forums on the site and find some that suit you, before you know it a new bike will be in order.
