Hello from NYC

Hi all, new to the forum, but I constantly use this as a resource whenever I have any biking questions. I'm a 6-months-outta-the-year rider, jumping on my bike in May when the weather gets nice, training for 5 months to complete an AIDS ride from Boston to NYC at the end of September, then hobbling for the next couple months before jumping back on in May again to do it all over. I currently ride a Cannondale Synapse 6, which has been an amazing first bike. Looking to upgrade now to something lighter and faster that'll get me up those hills without destroying my knees as much. Hope to keep getting some great advice on here!

Welcome to Bike Forums from a Texas road rider.

You have a very nice bike.

Just ride some hill repeats.

Hi Mindminla, welcome to BF. You should add some more months on the bike, it will make your AIDS ride training better and less stressful. The Synapse 6 is a good bike, ride safe and ride lots.

Howdy! Good luck on your charity ride to Boston.
I'm also trying to get in on a charity ride there,
