Redlof redrum
Hi I am Doug from Arkansas I found this forum while looking for info on an old bike that I had gotten from my Sis several years ago, a marlboro redlof Turns out that the bike folds in half WIBD So I decided to fix it up a bit.
I rode the bike briefly but the pedal was stripped out so wasn't a viable ride. I rode bikes as a kid and for a short period on a big construction job but it was strictly transportation. On a recent trip to Wichita My wife and I bought a couple of box mart bikes because there are alot of places to ride bikes in that area. Long story short We fell in love with riding again. I have learned a ton of info from this site already and am grateful for the members who post specs and pictures I have already changed my mind on the direction to go because of ideas I have gotten here thanks again.

the bike has redlof stamped on the frame. the redrum is a reference to a Jack Nicholson movie "The Shining " I drug the bike outta the weeds put a new crank on it, got on to try it out, made 2 revolutions with the new crank and the old chain snapped throwing me violently into the bars I was ready to kill it at that point thus the title seemed appropriate at the time.

Thanks for the welcome guys. If there is one thing that I have noticed, it is that the bike forum community is a very friendly one. I appreciate and welcome your comments. I asked a simple question on an old forum thread and got a response fairly quickly. I believe that most of my questions are answered before I ask them and have read a lot of the posts to educate myself. The wealth of knowledge that is available here is top notch. Good work mods and members I will enjoy this site for a while
