New from New Hampshire....

Have been an avid Mountain Biker for years. Have ridden road bikes in college competitively and am just now, in my 40's, getting back into the sport. A lot of things have changed since I rode. Carbon being on the forefront. Just getting ready to make my first purchase on a decent road bike and am still sorting through the "aluminum" vs. "carbon".

Greetings dpsmith! I ride CF on both mountain bike and road bike and love em. I would say just do some test riding in the environment you will most often ride and see what your body tells you.

HEY from the desert SW!

Hello, welcome aboard BF. I'm an aluminum guy but you should ride many different bikes at the LBS in your area to help you decide which type of frame material is best for your needs and your riding. I'll throw in Titanium and steel just to confuse you even more, sorry about that. Best of luck on your search for the new ride.
