From Dallas Texas
Hi all. I bought a Trek 700 Multitrack a few months ago to ride around the neighborhood with my wife. She quickly lost interest but I have found biking to be a fun way to get good exercise.
So now, as I try to figure out how to make this old bike more pleasurable, I have found myself here.
I'm off to figure out how to change from combo grip shifters and brake levers to trigger shifters...

The mechanics forum is really helpful if you have any questions on the swap. I think trigger shifters are a big improvement over grip shifters but opinions and desires differ. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome from another N.Texan! I live in Bowie and work in Fort Worth. I am just getting back into riding after years of wishing I had time. I decided to make time and am enjoying it. Out of shape and getting along in years but having a blast. My oldest son has decided to join me and that makes it so much better. Enjoy your bike an watch the heat!
