Another from Canada.

Alright, let's give this thing a go. It seems that anytime I look up anything on Google, I'm connected to numerous posts in these forums. Seems a good place to be.

As to myself, I'm a roadie through-and-through and metal frames to the core. I grew up on BMX, transitioned to mountain, and finally landed on a skinny tire. One of the first bikes I've seriously ridden is my dad's old '76 (ish) Bridgestone. I was an infant in a carrier on that frame and you just can't beat that connection. I retrofitted a full Tiagra groupset and aluminum rims to the frame (something the best bike mechanics in town said couldn't be done) and it served as my main means of transport for a number of years. I'll be restoring the down tube shifters and brake handles soon, just because. Other rides include, but are not limited to, a 2009 Cervelo S1 (aluminum aero frame), a bespoke track bike (mid-90s, best I can tell), and a '71 or '72 Peugeot most recently.

Fortunately, my wife understands me when I come home with a new "project" frame or eye up a new bike at the shop. She's developed as much an affliction as I have and nothing makes her happier than seeing me happy with a bike on the road or in the workshop. I've got it good.

I'll cap it at that for now. I look forward to the conversations!
