Handcyclist from Sunny California :P
Hello to all! I am an adventure/competitive handcyclist from Valencia, CA. I also run various clinics, trainings, and rides in the area for people with disabilities. I have a regular, monthly clinic day with the Triumph Foundation and also work closely with Cottage Rehab. Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. If anyone is interested in seeing just what a handcycle is or wants to go for a crank, hit me up. I have access to a couple bikes that people can try out. I look forward to sharing and learning a lot on here. Thanks!

Welcome to BF! In my ignorance, I hadn't even heard of hand cycling before reading your post, although a quick trip to Wikipedia remedied my situation. Since I'm unfortunately located 150 miles S of the Canadian border and 200 miles inland from the Atlantic ocean, I can't stop by to see your cycles (although I'd really like to).

Welcome to the nuthouse. It was a pleasure meeting you on the trails the other day. Truly an inspiration and I love how you're using your abilities to help others.
Feel free to post about your clinics (assuming they're free) in the SoCal forum. That will help dial it in to a more local audience.

Thanks Joe for the kind words. I am glad you got a bit of an education on the handcycles, Lacumo. They are an absolute blast, even without a disability. My friends love getting in my bikes. Maybe some day I will venture up your way and you can try one out. I will pop over regularly to the adaptive forum and bug people. Thanks to you guys for having a great avenue for people to connect and ride! Cheers
