Another New Mexico Resident

Howdy all!

I live in Los Lunas New Mexico and enjoy road and mountain biking in this area. I have several bikes (don't most of us?) and occasionally commute to work by bike and train. The weather here is ideal for bike commuting in every season except the Spring, when we get very strong winds.

I occasionally go on a group ride with a cycling Meetup group but normally I ride alone. I am too slow and don't like to make people wait on me.

I would like to be a cycling ambassador for Albuquerque so if you have any questions about the area don't hesitate to ask!

Regards,

Rick
Los Lunas, NM

Welcome Rick. We were out that way a few years ago. I thought the Turquoise Trail was great for cycling. :thumb: Considered moving there but my wife said it would be too hot for her so we settled for hot Florida instead.
Glad you found us.

Hello from Portales! I am orginally from Socorro, though.

I have a question for you: Red or Green?

I think I can deal with the heat in New Mexico easier than the heat in Florida, but I miss the ocean. We have plenty of beach though, just no water, and we do have something called winter. It is not too bad though.

Nice picture by the way. It makes me want to get out and ride some.

Best,

I am pretty much a Green guy, but a really good Red is exceptionally good.

That was the question my first in Santa Fe: red or green?

I really like Santa Fe (and most of NM) but the altitude can be brutal for a first time visitor.
