Hello from outside Atlanta, GA
I'm about 45 minutes NE of Atlanta, and I am currently looking for a cycle. I've not ridden in a long time, but it's something I'm hoping to add to my fitness regime. Currently, I primarily run (interval style with run/walk), but I'd like to add the lower impact of cycling into the rotation to rest my knees.
I'm also a petite person (5'1", small bones, etc.) so I know I need a women's specific bike. I'll be riding primarily in my neighborhood which is very hilly but has several miles of road or a local park with paved paths. I look forward to learning from everyone's expertise! |
Hi Jane,
Welcome to Bike Forums from a Texas road rider. |
Welcome to BF! Do some window-shopping at available LBS's and make sure you get a bike that's appropriately fitted to you--it'll make a major difference in riding comfort.

NE of Atlanta? Cumming? Gainesville? I moved from ATL almost 10 months ago. Don't miss it at all. :)
There are a few good shops up that way. Check them out and if you'd like you can ask on here for opinions. Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum to meet locals. |
