Greetings from Pleasant Grove, Alabama
I turned 50 last August. I picked up cycling in May of this year using an old Trek 400, a thirty yr old bike. I put nearly 1500 miles on that bike with several accidents, luckily none serious. Two months ago I purchased a 2013 Cannondale Caad 8 in which I've already put over 500 mile on it.
I'm riding because of my health/weight. I've lost 70 pounds since 2009, 30 of those sense November 2012. Riding has become a religious experience for me and I have to get out and ride every chance I get. The longest ride so far is a fifty miler. My goal is not to see how far I can ride nor how fast but to see how much exercise I can get.
