Add two more wheels to Southern California
Hi Folks,
My name is Ed and I tore the meniscus on my fifty-two year old left knee in July and re-discovered the joy of road cycling as my rehab. Purchased a CIÖCC (late '80's or early '90's) in early August and am now walking pain free after my first 1,000 miles.
Have been lurking in the community for quite some time adapting to all the changes in the sport since I've been gone. Clusters are now cassettes, shifting is now index, components are lighter and technology is on board.
I am looking forward to my continued education on BF and interacting with the community as I begin my search for (n + 1).
Cheers!

Welcome, Ed! That's a pretty bike you have there.
Stop by the Southern California regional forum and say hello.

Welcome. I know there are a couple riders from Redlands poking around on both the SoCal forum as well as Clydes/Athenas. Stop by and say hey!

CbadRider...have been watching the SoCal Forum and am looking forward to my first SART and Palomar rides once I get re-acclimated to climbing (my Ortho forbids me from rising from the saddle at this point)
no1mad....thanks for the welcome!
eja_bottecchia...appreciate the kind words. This CIÖCC is far from pristine, but she's all mine, warts and all.
PhotoJoe...I'm learning to love Redlands and will continue to poke around the Clyde forum
Lacumo...I love your area of this great land. In my previous life I cycled all around Buffalo, Rochester, Rome, Tonawanda and even Skaneateles ( I can even properly pronounce the latter)
Thank you all for the warm welcome!
