Hello from Santa Fe, NM, USA
It is nice to be here around all of you fellow velo heads. I have been enjoying all of your discussions for a few days since rediscovering this site recently.
As for me? I have been into cycling for almost 40 years w/ only a few interruptions, like when I was a carpenter then commercial construction foreman, for example. I was car free for eight years (again), now I have my car legal because I am married with a newborn.
So, in San Fran in the 80's I was into urban riding on tricked-out mtn.bikes & cross bikes with slicks. Thats when I got really nuts with bikes. Since then I have gone full roadie with my urban bikes and keep my mtn bikes for dirt trails and snow day commutes. I commute year-round up here at 7000ft. and love it. Recently started riding century rides and more distance road rides.
