hellooo. i've come across this forum countless times while googling bike related questions and i figured it's about time i registered so i can join this online community of fellow cyclists.
A little backstory: I'm from Los Angeles and have been riding for a little over a year as a commuter to and from school which is roughly a five and a half mile ride. I started riding last summer when I bought my first road bike used from a craigslist seller. I didn't know anything about bicycles back then and my knowledge is still very limited but definitely better than it was a year ago. It's been fun riding as a commuter and for the occasional recreational ride. Cycling really gave me a new and exciting way to get around the city and see it in a new perspective(it's also given me a hate for airheaded drivers that I never had before ). Currently my bicycle is not functional because of a little accident I had so I'm debating on whether I should fix it up or purchase a new bicycle entirely.
For now that's enough about me and I hope to contribute to this neat online community

Welcome to BF! Personal suggetion… Take your busted baby to a good LBS and have them triage it and give you a recommendation. Depending on the damage done, it may or may not be worth repairing. If you're dealing with honest people, they'll tell you what the deal is. Best of luck with it.

Welcome to Bike Forums! I like the I Spy aspect of biking. I have seen so many things on a bike (Mountain and Road) because no one knew I was coming or that I had left. Its a blast.
