Introduction

Hello Everyone:

Allow me to introduce myself. I have been a recreational rider for a little over 10 years now and I decided to to take it up a notch as far as frequency and distance of rides. I just purchased my third bike (since being an adult) yesterday, a Trek 7700FX. I took it out in the cold yesterday for about 7 miles and what a difference from my other bikes, Cannondale C400 (2000) and Trek 820 (1995). It pedals easier and cruises a lot faster and I haven't even tried my shoes yet (the bike has Shimano 520 clipless pedals). I hope to get out again today for a short ride but we got some snow last night so I'm not sure I'm brave enough.

My plan with this new bike is commuting to and from work, which I plan on beginning in a couple of weeks when the weather breaks and I train a little first.

Anyway, I look forward to learning a bunch from this forum. Have a great weekend.

Rick

P.S. I live in Harrison Twp, MI a suburb of Detroit.

Welcome to the forums. My experience is that everyone learns from these discussions. I certainly have.
