Long time lurker coming out...
RC from the SF Bay Area. Took up bike riding this past Labor Day after not having been on a bike for about 40 years, and after about a month of ramping up and a few urban cycling classes, I started mixed-mode commuting two to four days a week.
At this point, I'm a "bike rider," not a "cyclist." I ride an Electra Townie 21d, and I do all of my riding in street clothes. I still rat the trails on the weekend, although I'm spending less time there and more on the road. We'll have to see how long I stick with this before I think about taking it to that next level.
You'll mostly find me in Commuting and Fifty Plus.
