Longtime lurker decides to sign up
Just wanted to say hello... Long time reader of the forums, mostly classic and vintage. I'm a 33 year old student who got into cycling after losing my job and company truck, and needed transportation to get to school. Of course, I can never be happy with not knowing everything I can about everything, so I started reading the forums to find Out about the bike I had (1970s Raleigh record ace fixed gear conversion), and how to deal with the day to day maintenance of it. This led to full on addiction, buying bikes for my wife and kids, and upgrading mine until I was happy... Which came when I got my current bike, a 1973 crescent 320... Which someone tried to pass off as Italian. Full campy nuovo record group except for brakes and superbe pro pedals made me know it was worth the asking price, but nervex pro lugs told me it wasn't italian. No decals made the search harder, but thru the forums. I was able to pin it down to a crescent.
But, enough rambling... Hello.
