Chicago rider
Hello everyone. I enjoy forums in general and thought it was about time to join a bike forum. I'm 26, male, and most of my biking is on the commute (not far, about four miles each way). I also do the about ten miles on a nearby bike path a few times a week, but I've been trying to get more into the habit of doing it daily. I live in Chicago which is one of the most bike friendly cities I've ever seen, so it's a great place for a person like me. I'm sort of new to biking, having only gotten my first road bike around this time last year (a then-new Cannondale Quick 4).
Let's see, what else... I'm active duty in the US Army where I work in IT, I love computers, tattoos, MLP, Linux, and the Internet. Those five things pretty much make up my daily routine (with biking edging in there). I joined the forum partly to get advice on a bike upgrade, partly to meet local bikers, and mostly for the fun.
Anyway, not sure what else I should put here. This is my introduction and I'm looking forward to participating in the forums.

Cheers and welcome... I'm writing this on an old(ish) laptop with Ubuntu.
