Hello from philadelphia
Hi guys. So as my name implies I know basically nothing about bicycles other than how to ride them. I just got a pretty beat up schwinn world sport (I think '83 but not sure) off of my friend who is moving. I am decently handy and I'm looking to restore the bike. Any tips, FYIs, anything really would be extremely helpful. Thanks.

Thanks guys. After further inspection the bike is actually a le tour tourist. Not sure of the year. Is this better or worse for my $20 investment?

You should post your questions in our Classic & Vintage forum, where C&V crowd will see them. Be prepared to post pics of the bike too.
