Howdy from returning/relapsing Triathlete

Hi all, my name is Mike, it's been 26 years since my last tri, and I'm planning my first event for this coming June 8. It's a sprint with 1/4mi swim, 17mi bike, 5K run. I'm going to miss being in the 60yr-up age group by three weeks for this one. I've lurked around these parts and learned quite a bit, especially that I know virtually nothing about current bike technology. Moved to Clearwater FL last November. First winter I didn't freeze for 6 + months in my life. Got my 25 year old Cannondale ripped off within 10 days, but bought a nice Kona Dew and have put about 1200 miles on it so far. Looking forward to learning more from everyone here and maybe being able to contribute something at some point.

Welcome to BF and be sure to keep the new Kona indoors overnight and locked up when out of sight during rides!
