Another super Clyde here from NYC

Well hello gals and guys. Just started my biking journey with hopes to lose some weight and have some fun in the process. I picked up this beauty from my LBS (fulton bikes). It's a 2014 Specialized Allez. Looking forward to learning and chatting with you all. Maybe riding if we are in the same area

Good luck on your journey! Your timing is pretty good, as we're finally starting to have some nice weather in the NY area. There are a number of area residents here, although no NYC area-specific forum exists.

One thing I'd urge you to do this summer is ride across the George Washington Bridge. A major project to replace and/or clean all the bridge's suspension cables is beginning in 2015 and the pedestrian/cycling path will be used as a staging area during much of that time, so the ability to cross the bridge via bike will be going away for a while. It's really a treat and a great view!

Thanks for the warm welcome. @cafzali - I will try to plan a ride across the bridge at the end of the summer once I get use to riding again. Currently doing 5 miles a day over twos days so far.
