Noob from Central Texas

Been reading the forums for the last several hours trying to decide on what bike to buy. I've not have not ridden since I was in my early 20's and then it was just a cheap department store bike that didn't fit well at all.

I went to the VA hospital today with my friend (gave him a ride) and he was being evaluated for his diabetes. Doctor told him that he had to make some changes or he wasn't going to be around much longer. So over lunch we decided we would get some bikes and get back in shape. Neither of us can run anymore after 10 and 15 years in the military, that ship has sailed, so we settled on bike riding.

After reading about hybrid bikes on the forum, and with what I had to work with on my budget, I went with a Fuji absolute LE 3.0 2013, was cheaper than the absolute 2.3 2014 so figured would be a good deal.

My only concern is that at a little over 6'2 I'm worried I'd be closer to 22" and they only had it in 21". But since I had to order it and performance has a good return policy I figured I try and see how it goes.

I'm sure I'll be on asking plenty of questions, thanks in advance!

Active duty going on 13 years here (with knee issues myself) so I feel your aversion to running. I've actually had good luck increasing my running capability by biking and swimming; it seems to help with my issues a fair bit.

Enjoy the bike, and Texas! We just finished a tour there and miss it already.
