New to Forums and biking again

I am getting old. I can't run anymore so I took up biking. I didn't realize how much I really missed it until I started doing it again. I purchased a 2013 specialized crosstrail as I really don't like drop bars, and like the gearing better on the crosstrail. I will by smaller road tires for when I want to do some longer trips, and eventually will probably get a road bike, but for now my crosstrail is perfect for me. I really do love biking and am trying to find groups near me to ride with on a more consistent basis.

I hope to learn more here about general biking as well as working on my own bike. Thanks for having me.

Steve

Welcome to BF! I wouldn’t be in a hurry to dump those 38c tires---they’re definitely a bit wider than most road tires, but they make your ride more comfortable by absorbing a lot. If I were you, I’d wear them out and then replace them... Good luck with your riding efforts.
