Back into biking

Got back into biking a few years ago, riding back and forth to work and on weekends
Was looking for information on a couple of bikes I have on the Internet and found this site.
Thought this would be a great place to find out more about them. So I joined up.

The bikes in question are

Miele Condor road bike

Miyata 750 SR road bike

Norco Monterey SL road bike

From my Internet searches I found out these bikes are called road bikes, so that's how I refer to them now. Before I was referring to them as 10 Speeds. That's what we called this style of bikes back when I was riding as a teen.

Hello and Welcome to Bike Forums.

Might help us if you had LINKS to the bikes.

Are these bikes you own (you list them in your profile) or are thinking about buying these online? If the latter, we need links and you should repost in the appropriate forum.

The Norco Monterey SL I bought back in '83 as my daily ride. Its the bike I used in college, to get back and forth to my summer jobs. Its basically been in storage for the last twenty some years. I was told back then that I should be riding an upright style of bike instead of a road bike. Doctor thought I had arthritis in my neck, that leaning over would irritate it more, so I stopped riding it and stopped riding.

The last four years where I live has been tossing away bikes that have been abandoned. So I picked up, salvaged the Mongoose Tetra SX, Miele Condor and Miyata 750 SR. I've been riding the Mongoose as my daily commuter bike for four years. Pretty much have worn out the tires on it. I find it a nicer ride with a larger foot print on the road in winter than a road bike.

I know nothing about these salvaged bikes. In the last month I've been looking at different web sites trying to find out more about them. I intended taking pictures of these bikes this weekend, posting them and asking you folks for assistance. I'd like to confirm if they are stock as built or if they've been upgraded. Not looking for collectors just bikes I can ride and enjoy some quality time with my wife. She got herself a "townie" style bike to ride.
