Just found this forum, while looking for a way to deal with dogs.
I'm from Brownsville, Texas. Started riding a few years ago. My last ride was Octber 16, 2004, but hoping to get my but back on very soon.

I will say welcome to you. My name is Butch and I live in Oregon, south of Salem. Dogs are not to big an issue here but when I had a paper route years ago, a pint or quart spray bottle filled with cleaning ammonial, Parson's works well, squirted at the creature left a noted reminder and did not permanently harm the wayward creature. It really stings in the eyes and nose and quickly stops a "rush" and saves one from a bad situation. After awhile they kind of stay away.
