Hello from Canada
Hey folks,
Been off bikes since I was old enough to drive a car. Now I'm back with a used Gary Fisher Wingra bike.
So far I've just been farting around trying to get my legs used to the work.
Yesterday however, I cycled 50 some km's and learned something important: This ride out is fun, but you still have to do it all again to come back home...wow were my quads sore afterwards.
Cheers

Hi Buttrash,
Welcome to Bike Forums. Your's is a familiar story at this site. I myself got back into biking four years ago to tone up and loose some tonnage.
While I still haven't made it to the weight level I want I'm feeling better each day that I ride.
Not sure where you are in Canada but welcome for the west coast.

That's why I always head out upwind. :-) For a while, your comfortable range will be 10% more than what it was last week, until you find yourself starting to peak.
