Hello from Tyler, Tx

Must admit, I'm an old gal that hasn't biked since I was a kid - back when there were no gears and brakes were on the pedals. Was doing dog agility, but now must do something that does not require me to be away 3 - 4 days at a time. Hubby's oldest daughter has been biking over 20 years and I have seen how her bike club in Maryland has been a huge support group when she lost her husband last year. Looking for that and to work my way up to group rides around here. Research on the internet is waaay helpful.!!! Have been referred to this website a few times with questions I google. Thanks then, now and in the future. I can get brain overload here on the internet - I don't need to walk into a store totally dumb. Don't want to either. Thought I wanted a "comfort" bike - but have since figured out a "hybrid" would be better as I can do mostly road riding, but some off road too. Thinking Specialized Ariel or Trek Neko - or 7.2 ??

Welcome to Bike Forums. Have fun on whichever bike you select. Post pics too.

Welcome to BF! +1 on the enjoy whatever you buy thought. Just a personal opinion, but I think the hybrid might have a broader range of uses if you ever got into unpaved bike path riding, club rides, etc... Nonetheless, it’s your call, so good luck and enjoy.
