hi all,
not usually a whiner - but krypto has my stuck in the chain, like when I was a little kid. Nuf for now.
Live in Vic, bc - love the weather, cycling, I ride an old Steve Bauer Touring bike, braze-ons..you know.
Used to commute in Van, here for now - like the forum.

Being a biker and a fisherman...I'd ride a Gary Fisher..... ..ya not that funny.
I hate weeds unless they burn well.
Whats up with the Kryto? You mean Krypto didn't replace your lock?
I just use big chain with an inner tube over it and make my bike as ug as possible. Bike theft is pretty rampant here.
Jeff @ Chainchainchain is a very cool mechanic if you ever needs.

Jeff,
contacted Krypto, again...they have promised me they would replace the replacement with another lock.
I am patiently watching the inbox for my UPS w/b again. It seems that they didnt know that I had sent an EVO 2000, and instead sent me a STD replacement.
Weather change again, gone from mild early spring to usual easter rainy weather...

Hey Keayne! Ya gotta Steve Bauer?! Me too!
Mine's a touring, I think. It's lighter than a mountian bike anyway. It's also got eyelets for fenders, racks etc. My Bauer is a man's bike and it's white and dark pink. I've often wondered who they intended to ride it...maybe it's for cruisin' near Lost Lagoon!
Yeah, rain again...

How light are the Bauers? I hope they are made out of steel....
skinny tires are no fun here.

Heck, I don't even own a scale!
I mean lighter than what I'd think of as a mountian bike of comparable vintage. ('80's, I think.) The tires are thicker than my '74 Triumph but thinner than the kid's BMX's. I'd go look at the size, but it's cold out there...

It's all blossoms
.. and mud? here...looked @ my bike.
The end of the Van island is a micro-climate, sub tropical.
I'm thinking about riding end to end soon. Ya, 26 inch wheels.

Hey Jeff, I'll be in Vic for a few days coming up, get there on Saturday. What's to do this weekend, anything big shakin? Can't bring a bike, may rent just to tool around town with. Anyway, if you have any inside tips on things to do, pass them along.
