All sorts of new!

So whats going on everyone?

I am new to the forum and new to road bikes.
I just got my first pike in a LONG time but its about time i did.

I got a Fixie (pure Fix cycles bike) and so far a love it, and being on a bike again.
I live outside of Philly and hope to start riding around the city soon after i get a little better on it and set it up properly.

Any tips are welcome to get used to the bike faster. I have been riding it everyday since i bought it needless to say my legs are yelling at me but its awesome.

Angry legs are happy legs!

Welcome back to cycling! Before you worry about getting fast, get safe! Make sure you can handle it well before worrying about speed. Most of your speed won't come from the bike, but from you.

If it didn't come with them, the single best thing you can do for your bike to make you faster on it is put clipless pedals on it. With them, buy some mountain bike shoes so you don't walk around like a tap dancer when you get off of it.

That's my 2cents... probably worth at least 1/4 of that!
