Miyata six ten grand touring

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. Just wondering if anyone can provide me the history of this manufacturer. I received from my brother in law a MIYATA TEN SIX GRAND TOURING. He says he used it once for a charity event and it has been in storage since. Serial # is M366309 if that helps. Wondering if it's a quality bike worth spending a few dollars on. Seems all original but the tires seem to be dry rotted on the sides. They held air when I inflated them but don't look good. Would love to here some feedback

Welcome to Bike Forums. The folks in the Classic & Vintage forum can probably help. Pics are helpful.

That's a pretty nice touring bike well worth fixing up. A lot depends on its condition as well. Post some pics on C&V and you'll get some feedback. We'll need pics of the drive side esp., plus frame tubing stickers and the like.
