New Here, Looking for Some Advice
Hi,
I'm new here and looking for a used road bike to start with. I don't have a high budget (~$200) and wouldn't mind getting something heavier and more outdated as long as it would be reliable. Hope to get some great responses. Thank you!

Hit up local bike shops. Be clear with them about your budget, and a good shop will eventually find you something. They may not have something in stock, but will keep an eye open for you with their trade-ins.
My favorite road bike of all time was purchased for $200 used. By buying it from a bike shop, I got a bike that had been properly tuned and was ready to ride. I rode that bike for nearly 20 years.
You'd be very hard pressed to find a reliable road bike new for that price, and I'm NOT the kind of guy who thinks you need to spend a grand to get a bike... quite the contrary.

Any certain kind of bike I should be looking for specifically?

Someone may flame me for saying this, but don't buy a used carbon fiber bike off of Craigslist. You have to know what you're looking for in damage, and if you don't, your new-to-you bike could crack in half on your first ride.
As for what kind of bike... you're going to have to educate yourself as you go. There are literally hundreds of bikes you'll be finding online and no way to know them all. Just do an internet search of the candidates as you find them and be patient.
Good luck!

Welcome!
I'm also very new to road bikes and just like he says, I'm learning as I go. The fun is in the hunt.
Best way to go is your LBS. I guess second best is Craigslist. Type in the most common brands - Trek, Specialized, Cannondale, Giant, BMC, Fuji , Felt. That should give you a long list.
I've done tons of reading. Have fun!
