SoCal Newbie (pic added)
Hello,
The name is Zach, I'm 34, always been into bikes and have always owned a bike, but was not hard core, disciplined or fit. In 2014 I decided to start commuting (5 miles each way, with a 800 foot hill smack dab in the middle) and that eventually led to me riding a road bike.
My current whip, is a 2013 Specialized Tarmac Expert, I added the essentials like Lizard skin tape, nice seat bag, spare tube, tools, co2, pump and patches and duel insulated bottles. Thankfully SoCal has awesome weather so I'm not so concerned about the lack of fenders. I named my bike Ember due to her black/red/ash paint job. Never had Carbon Fiber before and it is amazing, love it.
I'm still getting used to this and conditioned, but if anyone wants to have a simple fun ride in the Brea, La Habra, La Mirada, Whittier, Fullerton, Buena Park areas hit me up.
